Another 'while waiting' shot...

This is another from the other day while waiting for the toot to get there.  This is a cropped portion of the bird.

While waiting...

When we get Lorelei, we meet Sarah and/or Jeremy at the mid way point between our places.  The other day we happened to get there just a minute before Sarah and Lo got there.  Right beside the gas station we stop at, there used to be a restaurant.  I don't know what happened to it, but weeds are growing up between the cracks of concrete that remains....I managed to capture this guy there!

From tonight...

The sun was gone from the area I took this in...I have messed with the photo to bring it to life.

In between visits...

I thought I would do a post or two before the weekend, when Lorelei comes again.  She went home yesterday...it has been awfully quiet.  I had planned to use this for Friday's fences, but since I didn't get to post last week, nor will I get the chance to really participate this week, I am just going ahead and posting it.

Cayuga power plant

Wanted to do post of something...this is from October of last year.  I don't know why I have waited so long on this one...

Also wanted to inform you that Lorelei is here, so not sure if I will get much blogging done for a few days.

Can't resist....

Didn't have time to look for something different to post...besides who can resist this?

From October 2011

I have been sitting looking back through photos...came across this one and thought I would post it.

Something different from the daylily gardens....

Yep, the first dragonfly capture of the year for me is from the daylily gardens...another good reason to go back.

Barn Charm again....

I am going to share some odds and ends of barn shots today.  The one above was taken last fall, in the morning hours.  If you expand the view, I think you can tell for sure that frost is still on the ground.  I don't think this shot is good technically, but there is something about it I like.  Maybe it is all the starlings or blackbirds or whatever they were...can't remember for sure but am thinking starlings.  This barn is not very far from here at all.
This one is another from last fall...I have shared other shots of it from other years, but don't think I posted this one.  This place always has the feel of something going on or about to happen to me.  Or that busy people live there.
I always like this little barn...like the one above it is north of us...probably a good half hour of driving.  This was taken the same day as the one above.  I could find it...and have general feel of where the other one is, too.
Now this one was taken the same day also, but I have no clue where it is at.  Cannot remember it for the life of me.

But just thought I would share them on Barn Charm...

From a daylily garden...

I am forewarning you...there will probably a lot of daylily photos both here and at my Pics & Pieces blog in the next few days.  I wish I had taken photos of their names, but I didn't.  They are just glorious.

Indian Corn....

I don't know if anyone else calls this Indian corn, but we always did.  I love the stuff...just to look at.

Fences for Friday....

Looks sort of like a hitching post to me...
I have looked and looked trying to see if I have posted these for Barn Charm or Friday's fences...I really don't think I have. So here they are...
 Another cool shot...
And this one for a bit of summer...
I had to use two or three filters to get this one to show up this good even...but just had to post it somewhere and since it is on a post, and this is Friday's Fences, thought I would post it here.

Pink perfection...

Our third hardy hibiscus had its first bloom a few days ago...I don't know its real name but I like pink perfection.  Read that the other day as the name of a day lily over at Betsy's blog.

Feel cooler now???

Doesn't this look wonderful about now?  And I know our weather has not been as hot as some.  Just thought this would bring back some pleasant memories.

For Barn Charm...

Snapped this on the way home from Sarah's house the other day...or should say paused and snapped.
Did you see that dog standing in the very first photo above, I think I noticed him first thing, followed by the kitties in the loft in the photo right above.  Always love seeing kitties in the barn.
And this little crib is from Tennessee...taken last fall.

Hoping I remember to link to Barn Charm after while!

Can't resist

This is another one of the blooms from my cheap, cheap daylily bulbs I got last year.

Are you smiling???

How can you not smile when you see this face?  For more fun pics, look over at this Pics & Pieces post....

A riot of pink....

These flowers are just full of bloom...they are a type of phlox.  I had not known about them till we got these.  The reason we bought them was because of Lorelei's love of pink.

Speaking of her, we will be at her house when this posts.  I am getting it scheduled now because I never know if I will have time to do it there.

The eyes are watching you

Though I have not seen many butterflies, there are plenty of these fellows on the cone flowers.

From the Amish farm

I just couldn't resist snapping a couple pics as we left the Amish place where I took the photo in the previous post.

From an Amish place

This is from an Amish place up in Parke County...out in the middle of nowhere.  For the life of me, I cannot think of the name of the place.  But I always enjoy going there.

In time for Barn Charm

This week I am featuring a barn taken in Illinois at the Forest Glen Preserve back in April.
I actually took some different views...
They have a washed out feel to them, but still you can get a good look at it.
I am not sure it is a barn or just an outbuilding, but when I first saw it, I thought barn...so hoping it is close enough to count.
