Gone but not forgotten

I am hoping that we don't have any more of that white stuff shown above, though our neighbor who races sprint cars always tells about he can remember going to a race the first weekend in may and it snowing.....

  1. I took a picture in early May the year I took Mom to Florida. The picture shows snow on the ground in Pennsylvania. It can snow in May. It doesn't last long though!

  2. I like the plastered look of this gate post. Nice composition from what was available. Nice light on the scene too.

  3. I also am hoping we don't see snow in May. I've seen quite enough of that white stuff for this year. I do like your photo, however.

  5. Beautiful winter shot! One can't predict snow...having lived in Minnesota, I know it can come late in spring when least expected.

One time I flew into Denver from Houston on May 31 for a meeting. But because we had the afternoon off we headed for a golf course. It was in the mid-60s I think. By the time we had finished the first hole the temp had dropped to the 30s and the course was covered with snow! May 31!!

  7. I really like this picture, Rose.

Back in the early 1980s, Mike and I still lived in NW Indiana. One particular spring I wore my winter coat clear into the LAST WEEK OF MAY! =(

  8. You caught some nice light Rose!
I just told my Hubby today that I miss the snow but I am ready for green and flowers and warmth.
It did snow about an inch at my brother's today which is a couple of hours away. I know we aren't home free yet.

  10. I doubt we'll get much snow now! If we do, it won't last long.
