Mule power, instead of horse power

I love seeing the Amish at work...I don't get right in their face with my camera, but I do take photos from a distance. I know they are not supposed to like their photo taken...I don't either for that matter. But, every where I gohere where I see Amish selling things, and over in Arthur, Illinois in their shops....they sell things portraying the Amish--jigsaw puzzles with photos of Amish, calendars with Amish, etc. I am not making money from it...just showing a way of life we don't see often.

  1. I enjoy the photos of the Amish and Old Order Mennonite families. I like their old ways but I don't think I could live without my computer. :)

  2. I really like this picture of the Amish farmers at work with their team of mules. If I had been there I think I would have snapped this picture as well.

  3. I am fascinated about the Amish---and sometimes, I wish WE were more like them... I know that they do work hard... You got a great picture --and you were definitely far enough away. They wouldn't mind I'm sure --as long as their faces weren't shown.

  4. This is very well done, Rose...you really captured the moment and provided a sense of Amish life. They must have a lot of patience, working with mules.
