This is a drive-by of a barn in Illinois that I pass a few times a year...there is not place to pull off to take a photo....not even a side road. So I have tried to capture it several different times and never do a very good job. I like this one best of the ones I have taken...I like have the man in the picture to give perspective to the size of things.
This is my entry for Tricia's Barn Charm Meme...
Wow! that is a huge barn! great photo:)
ReplyDeleteThat's a good capture to get while traveling. It's neat that you got a person walking close to the barn.
ReplyDeletenice to see a barn in use.
ReplyDeleteThe man in the photo gives an idea of how tall this barn is.
ReplyDeleteI think you are much better at drive-by photos than I am. WAY better!
Great shot for a drive by. that is a huge barn...the man really shows that.
ReplyDeleteInteresting barn, Rose. I don't think I've seen many with an asphalt shingled roof. The man really gives this a nice perspective. Great drive by capture!
ReplyDeleteI think this one with its peeling paint and white door has a lot of charm..
ReplyDeleteLove the farmer seemingly just taking his time strolling around.
You did good with this one! Don't you just hate it when there's no place to stop so you can get a good shot? Even so, you did good on your drive by!
ReplyDeleteIt IS a big barn compared to the guy there...
ReplyDeleteSorry about the linky - I don't know what was wrong w/ it last night...
I posted Barn Charm & thought I could snuggle up on the couch to rest & start feeling better, but I was out like a light!
Interesting barn and you did good with just a drive by. It seems all my shots are drive bys. I seldom get out. I just hope my car windows are not spotty. MB
ReplyDeleteA very nice barn for its high design. The weathered paint adds to its charm as a subject. I like having a person in the shot for scale. Well done.
ReplyDeleteLove this! And I like it that you included the man in it!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful drive-by shot.
ReplyDeleteWonderful capture for a driveby shot.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the person adds to the character of the shot.
I hope they get around to working on that roof this year. Once the roof goes the rest decays quickly.
I think that is a good picture for a drive by shooting. The man does add perspective to the picture.
ReplyDeleteI do drive-bys, too! This is a very sturdy looking barn, although one can see the beginning of a roof problem at the top left. I like the perspective you've provided, too.
