This was taken in 2006....I don't remember just where we were, but wish I could just step into this scene and have time to turn over rocks and look for crawdads, and just in general explore the area. And I wish I had a truckload of rocks and boulders like these for my yard...I have always liked rocks and the older I get the more I like them.
Just look at the stone foundation... looks old enough for the Civil War era, but I'm sure it isn't.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter used to turn over rocks for crawdads, too, & she'd always put them in a cup or she'd find something to put them in long enough to bring them home & put them in the fishtank! One time, she caught a baby catfish & brought it home, she said, to keep the crawdads company! heheheee
You've captured a beautiful scene with this photo. I really like the moss-covered boulders we see in the Smokies. You did a great job with the bridge in the background.
