These two houses are side by side Paris, Illinois...I assume they are built by the same builder, but I wonder if they were built for members of the same family.

I like the wrap-around porch of the second shot better, but I like the way the whole length of the tower shows up better in the first one.

I always wonder how the towers are used and how they are decorated....and they always make me think of fairy tales.
Oh, don't you know they make the most amazing reading rooms, or play rooms, or art rooms... I want one!!!
ReplyDeleteNeat that the 2 houses are the same!
Hi Rose. You've taken some very cool photos in Paris (Illinois)! These houses are fascinating. I like the 2nd better overall, too. What I'd really like to do is spend a day wandering around in either one of them!
ReplyDeleteHehe! Maybe for the same family...or not. There are a few houses in my village from Victorian times that are very similar but were not built for different members for one family. A precursor of modern subdivisions, I think. :)
ReplyDeleteThese shots make a fine comparison. I too like the design of the second tower better than the first with the roof line that encircles it. They are great looking houses. I too would refer the larger porch. Nice shooting!
ReplyDeleteIt would be a wonderful room to knit, crochet, read, think.... I love it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to go in that house and look around.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these houses are really neat, but I think I also like the second one better. I agree that it would be something to be able to go up into either tower.
