Looking back

This is taken from below the mill wheel in yesterday's post. That water is ice cold, so cold that rainbow trout live there. A few years ago, there were several over a foot long, but this past weekend we did not see a single big one. However, Roger finally spotted one about 10 inches in length and Sarah seen several smaller ones on down the way in another little bitty stream. They blend so well against the rocky bottom that I would never have seen it.

  2. We saw the old mill wheel when we were in Cumberland Gap this past summer. The stream wasn't cold at all at that time, and we didn't get as good a picture of the wheel as you showed in the previous post.

  4. I like the way the stream falls this way and that on its way downstream. The bridge and tree make a good setting for the stream too. Obviously this is a very interesting a photogenic place to visit and shoot.
