From the festival...

This is one of the gourds painted by a vendor at the Clay City Pottery Festival that happened this past week.

  1. Pretty gourd. I have a red one with flowers painted on it that came from a festival in California last year. My son and daughter-in-law gave it to me. I have it hanging outside by a fountain. No birds have chosen it yet.

  2. We've grown these in the past and normally, don't paint them. This one is so cute. I may have to try these again sometime. :)

  3. I got some gourds last fall from a neighbor and tried drying them out to make a birdhouse. I'm not sure what I did wrong as they molded on me...Next time I'll just buy one. This is pretty, I like the color.

  7. It would be nice to be able to create something like this. Unfortunately, most people would tell me I'm out of my gourd!

  8. Did you buy one Rose?
I bet they were expensive. It's the reason I've never bought a painted one. :)
