Winter gold...

I am sure that for some farmers, these hay bales would be a treasure to have. Did anyone else catch the story that it was cheaper to ship hay to China than to California dairy farmers?

  4. Farmers in Texas would love to have these bales, given the drought they have been enduring. I hadn't heard about it being cheaper to ship hay to China than to California. That doesn't make any sense at all.

  8. Yes, we did see that story about hay being shipped to China. Fascinating story on Fox News. We are watching from out here on the high seas, too.

  9. A fine shot of the field of bales. I missed that story but I've been wondering about hay being shipped to drought states like Texas. I'm wondering if owners simply have to sell their stock.
