I posted a barn yesterday from our round about way of going to the Goose Pond area here in Indiana...well here is another from that drive. We were on our way home, when we spotted this one...it was hit the brakes and back up time.

I like this one so much...because it is aged I suppose. It is one that I would love to convert to a house if it were mine.

I was so happy that it was where I could take my time and snap a few different views. I don't get to do that near as much as I would like.

Even though I think the vine is pretty growing up the wall, if it were mine, it would not be there. I would have it pulled down too quick to talk about.

The roof needs a little bit of love...I hope it gets it because this is a beautiful barn in my opinion.
As always, if you want to see more barns, or if you have one please go see Tricia's Barn Charm meme...I so love seeing all the barns.
i love the loft overhangs you've been finding!
ReplyDeleteLove this one too. However, I love the vines on it. :) Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThat would indeed make a fine house!
ReplyDeleteGreat details in this barn. Nice captures, Rose.
ReplyDeleteIt's the best when you get a chance to stop and get some really good shots from different angles. Well done!
ReplyDeleteAt one time someone sure loved this barn, Too bad the paint is chipping now!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I almost think an old tree fell on that barn.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you backed up to get these shots! They are lovely...I do like the one with the vines.
ReplyDeleteI think this is my favorite barn I have ever seen. I am not sure why I am drawn to it, but I AM! Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a charming barn, and it would make a gorgeous home. I hope it gets the TLC it needs so it will be around for many years.
ReplyDeleteThis barn is full of charm! It's got so many great features.
ReplyDeleteI love this one!! So full of character, great pics of it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a charming barn! It looks really well built, too. I hope they fix the roof on it, it's too nice to let it go.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right - this would make an amazing home. Lovely big building.
ReplyDeletethis is a nice old barn!
ReplyDeleteI love this old barn. The peeling paint adds to its charm.
ReplyDeleteIt'll definitely be heartbreaking if they leave it to rot... Why don't the owners see the beauty in these old barns like we do?
ReplyDeleteI also wonder how many have stopped to take photos of these old barns like we do, too!
Thanks for joining, Rose
This is a fine looking barn with excellent potential for conversion to a home. Very nice series!
ReplyDeleteI love the wall of this barn the chip paint that is very beautiful to become a texture for photos. And I agree with Don this is pretty to be converted for a home. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteBarn Charm
One of my favorites among your barn images: color, texture, nostalgia!
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice color and I like the details on the doors.
ReplyDeleteThe roof on my barn photo is slate - a very common barn roofing material around here, so it must have been plentiful.
i think you found my favorite barn. I love this one and would also like to live in it, but i would leave that beautiful vine. the photos are really good, i can feel it's age, so beautiful
ReplyDeleteOh, this is beautiful! A rare color - most barns seem to either be red or weathered white.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my place today, and commenting. I'm off to check out more of your posts!
Rose, this barn is amazing!! I somehow picture this lovingly renovated and made into a studio! Your photographs of it are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful evening!
That's a neat one! Lots of charm there. Near Goose Pond? Of course you go north and I go south :-)
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a modern barn with the details found on these old wooden ones! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful barn, Rose. I am glad you got to take so many pics. I always wanted to fix up a barn to live in. I love the weathered wood look too. MB
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful barn, and a bit different, which makes it even more worth keeping up and saving.
ReplyDeleteIs there a house close by, or is it sitting there all by its lonesome?
Thanks for sharing!
