Just showing a few fences...the one above is almost the same photo as posted for last Friday....but heck, I am posting it anyway cause it shows the barn.

This is from up in Parke County...I like the sign beside the gate.

And this one is a drive-by....it is a barn we pass in coming and going to see Lorelei.

Friday's Fences....
That poor barn in the first photo! But I love the next one, with the matching cheery fence!
ReplyDeletetee hee!
ReplyDeletelaughing at that sign, too! love those red barns! :) good fences, too!
I love them all Rose and I want that sign.
ReplyDeleteNice! We saw plenty of barns on the road today, but the weather is so bad I didn't take many pictures.
ReplyDeletePut a fence in front of it... what?
ReplyDeleteI hope the cows in the first shot are taken way better care of than the barn has been.
ReplyDeleteLove the white fence fronting the red barn in the last; but the second shot is my favorite. What a charming scene of the red barn surrounded by the trees and the red gate adds to the charm along with the sign.
Really nice finds Rose.
love these pics. & that sign is too cute!! wonder where it came from? thanks, for sharing. (:
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I also like the middle photo with the rose colored gate and sign..just lovely
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures. That first barn looks so sad.
ReplyDeleteYou've got a nice variety of fences here. I like the sign in your second photo as well.
ReplyDeleteLove these barns! We have to out of central NJ to see these. So glad I can enjoy them here!
ReplyDeleteHello Rose! I have decided to join Fridays Fences, and look who I have found...my old friend from Pics and Pieces with a wonderful photography blog! I'll be back! I do love your pictures of fences for today....really really nice!
ReplyDeleteI really like the second one. There is something about a scene that you just know will be completely obscured come summer that appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteI like the middle one best, with the red gate in front of the red barn, and all the trees. Different!
ReplyDeleteI love that sign in the 2nd one! And I like the red/rose gate...but if you slap a coat of red paint on most anything, I will like it! I do wonder about those poor cows though...
ReplyDeletewell i certainly have a lot of country accents in my house right now. all 3 are my favorite, can't even choose. love them ALL. i love cows so that is good.
ReplyDeleteI kept coming back to the first photo. With the animals in front it reminds me that the possessions treasured by one generation are not always seen in the same way by subsequent generations who often prefer newer technology or styles or convenience.
ReplyDeleteThe way you captured the disrepair of barn and fence along with the beautiful snow and animals (yes, they look pretty to me) created an intriguing image that made me want to look and look and look and think. Good work!
The sign is funny! And so true! Love your pictures. All so beautiful.
ReplyDeletelovely group of photos
ReplyDeleteA fine collection of fence shots. They go so well with barns.
ReplyDeleteThree very different pictures - that poor first barn looks very run down, I love the red in the 2nd and do you see those weird branches in those trees in the third?
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. I can just imagine the first barn in its day~
ReplyDeleteChuckle...yep...great sign!
I love all three shots! Three lovely barns set off beautifully by the fences.
ReplyDeleteThe rickety barn in the top is wonderful and those stately trees in the third are a show stealer.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! The last is my favourite... perfect!
ReplyDeleteNumber 2 and 3 are great but poor little #1 looks a bit worn with the weathering of time. They are all fine captures, though. Oh, how I have grown to be on OCD barn watcher. I have it bad!!!! Love the past. genie
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual shaped barn in photo 3--do you know anything about the people who live there. Am wondering if they are Dutch origin. In the first photo, that old barn just refuses to fall down, doesn't it? And I guess you could call that a "cobbled" fence surrounding it!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how a fence can add so much to a shot! Your photos prove this!
ReplyDeleteThat 1st one is my fave... I know, it's falling apart & it's a wonder the poor thing is even standing, but I love it anyway!
ReplyDeleteDo you mind if I link up this post? I always want to ask before I do it... =)
You have an endless supply of barns and fences! Always to great to see.
ReplyDeleteI love barns and old houses too. Love the sign on the second one. Don't think I've ever heard that. Have a happy week.
ReplyDeleteA great set of fences. We all love red barns, I guess.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
