Another tree...

I could not get a good shot of this sycamore tree...we found it at the new DNR property we found a week or two ago. If you could see this tree in person your first impression would be that it is massive. If I were standing back far enough to get it all in the photo, there were too many other trees in front of it till the trunk could not be seen. I even had a hard time finding this view of it. I thought I would show it anyway. I used to not like sycamore trees at all, and am not sure when it happened, but I just love them now.

    i don't know if i know sycamore trees at all. i like how white that bark becomes on the upper limbs. :)

    It is an imposing tree, interesting how the high branches are white, kind of like a birch. I am not very good at identifying trees, only when they bloom.

    it is beautiful, i love all trees and the bigger the better. i can't get shots of any of our trees because i can back off far enough. have to take peices like this, but i love pieces of trees to

    I like what you choice, or were able, to include in this shot. We viewers fill in the higher branches since we can see the massive truck and limbs climbing into the sky. I like its change in colors from trunk to limbs.

    This tree looks quite large in comparison with the trees around it. You did a good job of getting a photo of it.

    Now that is a tree with personality! I love Sycamore trees. We actually have them here in our desert!

    I haven't seen them around here but I have seen them on the south side of Lake Ontario.
