This is a barn I have passed near many times and never really notice till a few days ago...

These are not really processed in any way other than to size down for publishing here and I think I hit the sharpen button. I like the color of this weathered wood and wonder why most barns have an overall bray appearance but some has this richer color.
You find the most interesting and charming old barns.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
I like that rusty roof...well, I like the whole barn really. Wonder what kind of treasures lie within.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really notice barns too much until I started photographing them...Now my eyes are always on the lookout....

ReplyDeletelove the roof. i have a few barns like that around these parts that i find just by chance & keep thinking i need to stop & take a few photos. (:
ReplyDeleteI could tell the barn is kind of old because of the roof. But I see good wood hanging. ^_^ Great find.
ReplyDeleteBlue Charm
This is an oldie but goodie! I'll bet it was a beauty in its day.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering why so many people let their barns fall into ruin...guess it is poor farmer's who just can't afford the upkeep...I just watched some of "Farm Aid" last night.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it has had more than one coat of paint -- but the weather won out. Great barn.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth - I, too, have started seeing things that I never noticed before. That makes the daily commute so much more interesting:)
ReplyDeleteThis is truly a charming barn. It looks as if it could use some TLC, however.
ReplyDeleteThis one has quite a hodge podge of new and old wood, which would drive me insane if it were on my property!
ReplyDeleteGlad you finally noticed it Rose, this is a great barn and I too love the roof on it.
ReplyDeleteI like the color and texture of this barn. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors of this old charmer!
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly a massive building. One of the best features of the photo is the picnic table!
ReplyDeleteNice! Isn't it amazing how we can drive past something numerous times and never see it. Looks like it is well hidden back in the trees.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the rust is about all that is holding this one together! Interesting photo - would love to know the story behind all these old barns!
ReplyDeletesome of the most interesting things are right under our noses! nice!
ReplyDeleteI like the combination of a general view followed with a close up that shows the decay very well. It's a great rustic looking barn.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos Rose! Poor barn, it's about to fall down.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it strange how the day to day evades our notice? Very nice barn photo.
ReplyDeleteVery good photos of this old barn.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
I love the patina of the old wood. Maybe it is richer because it is more shaded by the trees. Anyway it is great. MB
ReplyDeleteLovely old barn but it could do with a lick of paint. :)
ReplyDeleteTricia has us all looking out for barns....isn't it great?! :)

A well used place... love that tin roof!
ReplyDeleteLove this poor old barn and it looks like it is being used for something! Love the rusty red roof and the picnic table :) Good capture Rose!
ReplyDeleteI think that barn is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe colours are aging well on this barn. I wonder if some types of wood turn grey bit others turn brown over time.
