The photo above was taken two or three years ago...digital. And this one was taken in 1997....it is almost painful to look at with the bright colors and the slightly blurred look.
Since I am still not getting out for any photo shoots other than a quick run through the strip pits, I am posting photos I have posted before, but most of you have not seen them.
I love the fence and the tulips. I can't wait for mine to be blooming again. I need to look at my old photos, I'm sure the count is in the thousands :0
The first is lovely with it's curved shape. The tulips soften the iron and it makes for a lovely shot! I like the wooden fence in the second one and all the leaves on the ground down in front of the house.
It's great to see old photos, I love them both, the first one for the old fence and the contrast of the tulips and the second one for a great Autumn shot with great leading lines.
I loved the colors in the 2nd one too! The curve and style of the first one is very nice, I don't think I have seen many curved like that! Love the combination of the flowers with the fence. Nice capture!
First, I love your new blog header--where is this? Actually, both old and new photos are fine with me. Today both your versions have their own charms. In the second photo the colors are almost painterly.
Two nice photos! Digital has certainly changed our perception of how our photos should look. Now you can take hundreds of photos of the same thing and be happy if you get a few to turn out. With film you just couldn't do that. And of course you had to wait for the film to be developed to see what you got. Now you can take a look right away and if you don't like it go take more. We have definitely become spoiled!
'almost painful' ha ha!
ReplyDeletei love that rounded wrought iron. so cool!

I love tulips and I love wrought iron fences so when they appear like this together, they're an unbeatable combination!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how technology has changed everything!
ReplyDeleteThe one with the tulips is my favourite. I like how the wrought iron even sort of mimics the tulip shape.
ReplyDeleteWhen you said "old," I thought you were talking about the fence, which appears to be something out of the early 20th century!

ReplyDeleteHi Rose, I love the curves of the wrought iron fence. Nice!

ReplyDeleteI like the out-of-season pictures too! :-) I resort to the archives frequently on the dull, overcast days that seem to defy making good pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love the two fences. The background view is awesome!
