I was looking for some photo the other night and came across this one, taken in 2008. I first thought for barn charm, but then didn't use it for that. I needed something for Friday's fences and it fits the bill.

This one was taken Tuesday, not the first time I have taken a photo of it and every time it is a horrible time of day...but I like the fence so just sticking it in here.

both are great fence photos. :)
ReplyDeletecrude fence but nice and goes with the barn

oh, wow ...what great shots. love the fences. (:
ReplyDeleteIsn't it interesting that so many of us find fences interesting
ReplyDeleteThe fence in the second photos looks like it might have been an afterthought with the varying sizes of posts, but it does exude a certain amount of character! I understand about having trouble catching the right time of day for a photo. I once went to a place seven times and never got the photo I wanted. It was on a perfect east/west grid and the morning light cast shadows on the building, the midday light was too bright, and the late afternoon light left the building in darkness. I finally gave up!
ReplyDeleteEither one of those fences would keep critters from wandering!
ReplyDeleteFence at Sundown
Two nice shots n fences!
ReplyDeleteWhat a HUGE difference to scroll from one picture to the other!! The first is so well taken care of...
ReplyDeleteThese are two very different fences, but they both have their own charm.
ReplyDeleteI love the harmony of the first shot! The white fence is very neat!
ReplyDeleteBoth are great fences. I like the barn in the second one.
ReplyDeleteLove the top of the silo in the first shot!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Kathy. I noticed the size and heights of the posts in the second one. I also noticed the green metal sign with the numbers. I'm assuming maybe they serve the same purpose as here - for emergency vehicles to find the right place.
There is something so interesting about a plain, no-nonsense kind of working fence! I can just imagine the work of keeping fences up, like the first one.
ReplyDeleteThe old fence has a lot of character don't you think? Happy weekend and thanks for the visit too.
ReplyDeleteFriday Fences
They do fit Friday's Fences! Cool barns, love em! =)
ReplyDeleteBoth are fine "fence" shots. The bottom one is so good with all the density of fence posts...which easily overcomes the blank white sky (which we are having frequently here). :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like your b/w of the barn it makes it look kind of vintage.
ReplyDeleteThat is a right rickety fence in the 2nd shot.
I've been following the weather again & there's awful damage in Il & In - r ya'll ok again?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the barns and fences!
ReplyDeleteI like both photos but the second one sure looks like a lot of fences around here. Real typical.
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well (weather wise) in your neck of the woods. Don't want you to blow away. MB
A great contrast of old and new.
ReplyDeleteI know this is a fence post, but I really like the top of that silo in the first pic.
ReplyDeleteI like the fence too. It seems to be made for small animals. Maybe goat or lamb. :)
ReplyDeleteI like your black and white photo.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Great fences! I really love the red barn scene. Beautiful as usual!
ReplyDeleteTime isn't very forgiving against Mother Nature.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed poking around your blog...wonderful photos!!
