I am not sure if I have ever published either of these...if I have it has been long ago. I don't have a clue to where I was when they were taken. Hope to see you at Barn Charm.
Fine condition vs disrepair...love the contrast in the two barns. I bet that side slanted roof has a leak in it. Ours has one that we need to fix soon. That little bit of red/orange in the first shot is really an eye catcher. That is one BIG barn. genie
I like the more pristine look of the first one. What a grand old tree too. The second one has been around awhile and isn't loved as much as the first one. :) I always look for those old lightning rods on top. They tend to date the barn. Your archives are full of pics Rose!
That's a big white barn! heheheee Before I clicked to enlarge the 1st pic, I thought that mound of hay in the background w/ some kind of grass hut or something! lol Both great finds! Thanks for joining =)
Definitely a study in contrasts - that white one looks well-maintained. I am not sure I would even venture inside that second one! My post today has falling-down barns...there are so many of them around these days! Great shots!
isn't digging fun? i love to dig and don't do enough of it. so many pics so little time. i like that white barn and am thinking i like white better than red barns.
really nice first one! neat and tidy and nice roof.
ReplyDeletesecond one - poor thing's got a few teeth missing.
Keep on digging, Rose! They are great!

Both are great finds. Charming in their own way.
ReplyDeleteGreat ones Rose...I know I could just dig in my files for I don't know how long for barn photos.
ReplyDeleteI love them both! I also picked two contasting barns this week!
ReplyDeleteThat splash of orangey-red is a nice relief from all that white!
ReplyDeleteTwo very large barns. The second one doesn't look long for this world!
ReplyDeleteoh i wish i had your troubles and where does tex come up with these comments??
ReplyDeletethey are both beautiful, in very different ways!!
I like them both! Nice blue green door on that second one - not a common color!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful barns! The white on is huge and I like the tree beside it. The old barn was a beauty at one time, but it makes a nice photo.
ReplyDeleteThat big white barn is a real beauty! The oldie is still a goodie with a lot of hard-earned character.
ReplyDeleteThe first one has some really interesting opposing elements in it!
ReplyDeleteTwo very different barns, but two very lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteLove that white barn! The second one has tons of character. Great shots, Rose!

ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed how different each barn looks. You would think they would all look a lot more alike.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen them, so they are fresh and new to me, Rose! Wonderful barns. :)
ReplyDeleteThe old barn is time-worn and beautiful. Great shots of both buildings.
ReplyDeleteThat first barn is huge and a beauty. The second one has a certain dignity to it despite the 'gaps' in it. Great pics.:>)
ReplyDeleteGreat captures! The white barn is a beauty... love the angle you shot from. The second barn is beautiful too... love it's unique rooflines.
ReplyDeleteRose, gotta love that second barn! And the first barn, what a massive roof. I would really like to see the second barn fixed up and loved :)
ReplyDeletei like them both!
ReplyDeleteThey're both very nice; I'm partial to the second shot; i love the wooden slats - so much charm! Thanks for visiting my barn.
