Finally! I saw this barn a year or two ago, the first time we went to the heron viewing station, but did not have a chance the photograph it. The second time we went, we approached the viewing station from a different direction and did not pass it.

But last week I had the good fortune to see it again. And Roger turned around and went back till I could take some photos. We were parked on someone else's property so I only snagged a few.

As you can probably guess, it was the middle of the day so kind of a washed out feel to the photos. But still, I am very glad to get to enter it in Tricia's Barn Charm Meme!
For fun, I leave you with a view of it converted to B&W....which happens to be my favorite. I think.
i don't know. the red brick is KILLER! i LOVE this barn and hope they keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThe black and white is awesome, but I don't know if it is my favorite. This barn is very unusual, do you think it's in use? Were any houses around it?
ReplyDeleteI love the red brick! We don't see brick barns in this area. This one is Great! Glad you got the shot and shared it with Barn Charm!

ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely barn - I like both your colour shots and your b/w. I love the shape of it.
ReplyDeleteWow--a brick barn! It looks like the right side is without a roof and essentially just a front wall--is that so? What a shame that it's not being kept better care of, but it sure is a beauty. I think the color shows off the brick more, but the b/w gives it great texture. Terrific find and post!:>)
ReplyDeletethat is a gorgeous barn!

I like your series of this barn. I like those big double door up high. The brick look good and seems unusual to me compared the barns around here. I too like the black and white version. It looks very good.
ReplyDeleteI like, I have not seen many barns made from brick before! Richard
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome old structure--especially with those vines holding the roof on! And has it totally lost the right side with just the front wall left standing? How old do you imagine this one is? When could farmers have afforded to use bricks for their barns--not recently for sure!
ReplyDeleteFAB old barn!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Not sure I have ever seen a brick barn. Looks great!
ReplyDeletebeautiful barn. looks nice in the different styles :)
