In a post from my
Pics & Pieces blog I posted photos of the Heron and Eagle viewing station we went to yesterday. Well, there were no eagles to be seen, but there were herons...and I got a lot of this Great Blue Heron shown here...maybe I should have posted some of the others first but I just really liked this one.
I must say it was the most cooperative heron I have ever tried to photograph. I still moved very slowly as I crept up closer to him.
i like the 'lift' he's got going! can feel the wind beneath his wings. :)

Great shot Rose! That Heron certainly was cooperative.
ReplyDeleteWe have Herons that land on our dock but I can never get a photo. They fly away at the least little sound.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this is amazing!!!! What zoom did yo have to use? I have never been able to get a good picture of any birds in flight, much less such a large and regal bird as this one.
