Drive through the strip pits...

I drove through the strip pits today...once on my way to the quilt shop and then again as I came back home.  I saw several of these short-eared owls.

    Oh my gosh! And in the daytime!!! They are just perfect shots that make a set. One in flight and the other just sitting there looking right at the camera. If I were you, I would put them both in a frame and put them out.
