From last summer...

I have taken pictures of this before, and may have even posted some of them.  But every time I see this, I wonder what it was used for.
It is in Indiana, North of here, but not sure which county. 

It is an odd one, for Indiana.

    I had to show this one to Hubs. He wondered if it could have been on a dairy farm and maybe the short end was used for calfs.
    I would so like to know.

    Definitely an odd shape. The lower part looks like a chicken coop, but the tall end doesn't seem to match. Interesting, at any rate.

    I am going to go with a milking barn but what does this city boy know? Could be for pigs for all that matters.

    I've seen long, low barns like this that were called a "milking parlor" where the cows were lined up on one or both sides to be milked. The cement floor could be hosed down and the place cleaned out afterwards. They seemed more open than this one, though, so I may be off base. And I'd bet that the taller part of the building on the end is for hay.
