Something about red doors....

There is just something about red doors....they really appeal to me.  This is the doors of a church that is near the library in Terre Haute....just across the street from the parking lot.

  1. I agree! Quite a few churches around here have red, too. I like all the thin columns on either side. I heard it is supposed to mean welcome. I also like the bright yellow doors.

  2. I feel the same way. This is a pretty one. I just photographed a beautiful church building with a red door, but I neglected to get the name of the church so I'm waiting to use it on my blog until I can go back.

  4. beautiful. there is an Episcopal church with very large double red doors here, but there is to much in the way to get the photo... somone told me red doors are common for episcopal churches, but don't know if that is true.

  5. Lovely photograph and beautiful architecture and you are right there is just something about a red door that draws you in. I'm always looking for barns with red doors.

  6. The whole doorway has an interesting style. Love those iron hand rails. The red of of the door is very enhancing to the church. Nice one.
