I asked Phil why people did not keep their barns in good repair and he told me this. Farmers are mostly poor, and the expense does not justify the repair, the barns still hold the hay and animals just as well if they are run down.
beautiful barn... i think the more run down they are the more character they seem to have... i can't wait for spring to arrive so i can get out and take some pictures again. hope all is well~
