I wish I could have seen all that was on this front porch...it looks like there is a lot to be seen. I think I could be an American picker sometimes. This was in Terre Haute, Indiana. Taken back in October of 2013. You might want to click on the pic to get a better view of what can be seen here.
Interesting! One wonders if they spend a lot of time on the porch, or if it's just a storage space where they shove things.
ReplyDeleteSome times, well, heck...many times I wish I had a covered porch large enough to sit outdoors during a warm summer rain. This one looks way too cluttered for my taste tho!!! A couple of chairs with cushions and a small table for a glass of iced tea and maybe a windchime above. That's all I'd need. :-)
ReplyDeletei found three things i would like to have, the planter with the hearts in upper left, the blue glass hanger in the upper right and the aqua lamp in the middle. i am sure there is more
ReplyDeletei see a few cool things. :)
ReplyDeleteLots of cool things there. I wish I had a porch, but I would make it a comfy, cozy place to sit.
ReplyDeleteI like this. Front porches like this are neat. I wish we had one. I'd sit out there for hours and watch the world go by. Then to have all my "cool things" around me makes it all the better.
ReplyDeleteIt is loaded with details. It takes some time looking to sort out all the details. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI love big porches whether they be front, side or back. I remember as a kid we had a house with a huge--well to me--covered front porch. It was fun and could even make a good fort to play in.

This is great! I'll bet their relatives live over this way. There's a house we pass going from here to Avon, that has a front porch similar to this and they keep their Christmas decorations out there all year long. It always gives me a smile! I try to get a drive-by shot every time we go by, but it's at a busy intersection and I've yet to get a good capture.

P.S. Got your message about the hawk. :-)
Are you sure you weren’t riding around in Rockbridge County, VA. This looks so much like a house down the road. So much country charm with lots of stories to tell.
ReplyDeleteI too would love to see more of what is on this porch.
