Taken at the strip pits in 2008...one of my favorite shots of a hawk.  I don't know what kind it is...I am not good at identifying them.

    Hawks are one of the most difficult to ID in my opinion. But what a beautiful, gorgeous, image you've created with your lens.

    LOVE the milk-weed seed pod in the post below too. Very well composed.

    Yes, my birthday was on the 9th. So me and Lorelei have a bit in common!!

    just a regal bird. :) my guess - red-tailed because of the big white bib on his chest.

    The hawk posed so well in this shot. It's a great looking image that shows his feather scheme very well. Excellent.
