Fox sparrow

We still see this little guy every now and then.  But not near as often as all the others.  Notice how he has dug away the snow to get to the seeds.  I think he must not normally come into the city to eat.  Probably only comes here because we are so close to the edge of town.  Also, I wonder if there are things that distinguish a male from a female.

  8. I see fox sparrows only in spring and fall when they are flying on their way to somewhere else.
