Mr. Red-Winged Blackbird

This is another from the Heron Viewing Park....the same place where I photographed the swan on the nest and the Canadian goose on the nest.

    Your header is beautiful, Rose! I have never been able to get a shot of a red-winged blackbird. They stand atop tall swaying reeds and tease me.

    Nice. I was told off by a couple of these last evening while planting tomatoes in our garden. They didn't like our being so close to their nests near the pond.

    An unusual angle for the blackbird. Well done. I hike out to my nearby marsh yesterday where the waters had returned and the Red-wing Blackbirds were as happy as...Blackbirds.

    They are neat birds. I like that you caught both sides of his wings showing the "red" coloring.
