I should have taken a picture of this now...this was taken June 27. It is now starting to mature and the birds have been pecking at it but have decided it needs to mature little more and are leaving it alone right now.
Wow...love it! Every year I say I am going to plant some and I forget. I do have a bunch of the little ones coming up which the Goldfinches will pick clean.
These large sunflowers are impressive for their size and the number of sunflower seeds they generate. I can see why the birds would enjoy a feast at one of these.

ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty. We plant a row all along our storage shed out back. Looking forward to their blooms. They draw in a lot of Goldfinches.
