We ran across these fence posts a few weeks back...seemed like no matter how I tried, the pictures were just sort of blah. But still I find them interesting so am going to show one.
Another that is not so great, but at least I have the excuse of it is a drive-by. I took it for the sunflower, but then noticed the fence and thought it was a good excuse to put it here.
I'm fascinated by fence posts, but they can definitely be a challenge to photograph. I'll bet that was pretty when all the lilies were in bloom around it, too. :) I LOVE that big, metal sunflower by the fence and mailboxes. It looks perfect there!
Thanks for commenting on my 'quilt of valor' barn. You taught me something new, as I had not heard of that type of quilt before.
I do think the post is interesting, wondering what else had been there. I WANT that sunflower!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the sunflower and the fence!
ReplyDeleteThat top one almost looks like a mile marker they used 'way out west' in the olden days.

ReplyDeleteI have never before seen a fence post like that. What is it made of? And the sunflower makes a cool shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual fence post! Think of the work that went into it. And the sunflower is cute...fence, too! Enjoy your afternoon! Hugs!

I always wonder about those old concrete posts, the fences never seem to still be around, but the posts endure forever.
