Trying to decide

I took this a few weeks ago and have never decided if I thought it blog-worthy or not.  It seems so cluttered, but then it seems sort of natural.  And I like the way it is looking at me.  This photo has been slightly cropped.

EDited to add....does the leg look funny to you guys?  I did not notice this until I posted it.  It looks like a 'ghost' leg that belongs to another bird.  I went back and looked.  In reality, it is the leg on the side that is towards the camera.  The feeder between the the camera and woodpecker has 'post' to stick fruit on.

  2. He's a cute little guy and certainly enjoying the suet. Of course he looks a little funny--he's probably the rare three-legged woodpecker. After all, there is a three-toed woodpecker, so why not a three-legged? The camera can play many tricks, can't it?

  3. I had to look at it really hard, but the third time around I finally noticed the 'post' on the feeder. I think your image is definitely blog worthy. He's a cute one!

  7. Cute little fellow. The leg does look strange but birds/animals tend to bend in ways we humans can't.

  9. The leg is on the near side isn't it. Our eyes play tricks on us. Woodpeckers just love the suet stations. MB
