I took this a few weeks ago and have never decided if I thought it blog-worthy or not. It seems so cluttered, but then it seems sort of natural. And I like the way it is looking at me. This photo has been slightly cropped.
EDited to add....does the leg look funny to you guys? I did not notice this until I posted it. It looks like a 'ghost' leg that belongs to another bird. I went back and looked. In reality, it is the leg on the side that is towards the camera. The feeder between the the camera and woodpecker has 'post' to stick fruit on.
Of course it is Blogworthy!! He is so cute...maybe a baby? The leg actually looks like the one farther from the camera!!
ReplyDeleteHe's a cute little guy and certainly enjoying the suet. Of course he looks a little funny--he's probably the rare three-legged woodpecker. After all, there is a three-toed woodpecker, so why not a three-legged? The camera can play many tricks, can't it?
ReplyDeleteI had to look at it really hard, but the third time around I finally noticed the 'post' on the feeder. I think your image is definitely blog worthy. He's a cute one!
ReplyDeleteLindy
this is more than blogworthy it is priceless. love it love it
ReplyDeleteIt's most definitely blog worthy. I love the shot!
ReplyDeleteit did look like a stunt leg but i can see he's tilted away from you, now. :)
ReplyDeleteCute little fellow. The leg does look strange but birds/animals tend to bend in ways we humans can't.
ReplyDeleteSilly girl, it's looks great to me.
ReplyDeleteThe leg is on the near side isn't it. Our eyes play tricks on us. Woodpeckers just love the suet stations. MB
ReplyDeleteLooks like a happy woodpecker. It took me awhile to sort out which leg that is. :)
ReplyDeleteCute little woodpecker!
ReplyDeleteCertainly blog worthy!
ReplyDeleteCute little bird . . . (Ghostly leg too.)
