Monarch

This one was up at the swampy area north of here.  It was so windy, I was lucky to get this shot.  Believe it or not, I have seen just as many monarchs here at the house, if not more than normal.  But not other places.

Good photo!
Glad to know you're seeing these endangered beauties.
I've only seen 4 this year and I usually see dozens.

A fine, detailed capture despite the wind. A very strong shot.

we had a few butterflies this summer, but not nearly what we usually do. it could be the longevity of the high 90's since June 1...

I sure hope they are making a comeback. Beautiful shot of this monarch. Windy weather definitely isn't your friend when it comes to shots like this, but you aced it!
