Saw these two at the end of August...really wonder about the history of the top one for sure. If you look at the end, it looks like garage doors...bt the windows make me think someones old house. But then there is that chimney! Who would put a chimney there--be it house or garage of shop, it doesn't look like a good choice to me.
This old beauty doesn't look to have a long life left. I wish I knew just where it was till I could keep an eye on it over the next few years. I think this was the first time we had ever ran across it.
Linking to Rubbish Tuesday.
both are great finds!
ReplyDeleteThe green roofed one must have been beautiful in it's day! The first one...I wonder if it was a garage that someone used for a studio or workroom?
ReplyDeleteA certain kind of unique charm in the old chipped, fading paint and the rusted tin.
ReplyDeleteGreat find and photos.
Oh the history these two buildings must have. Wonderful finds.
ReplyDeleteI like both of these. The first is definitely an intriguing mystery. I really love the old barn, and I think you're right that it doesn't have much time left.
ReplyDeleteI wonder about the chimney, too. They are normally more centered. Love the old barn with the ivy growing up to the roof. Two great selections for Rubbish. Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteI saw the title, and thought How did she get a photo of me?? LOL love the second snaggled toothed old and beautiful building. maybe the first was a small house that they turned into a garage after they built a bigger house.
ReplyDeleteI think the top one is more house than garage. The bottom one looks ready to go at any moment. Fine shots.
ReplyDeleteOld but beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSmall but beautiful.
There is contrast, there is beauty.
The world is fantastic.
Wow what a barn! Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteAn amazing find, I like both. Your photos give them a virtual monument, if they will be long gone -
ReplyDeleteThe older, the more beautifuller...that's what I always say! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful. the bottom one reminds me of a structure I posted a while back. Same green shakes.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. I've seen ones like that top photo with a chimney and wonder, is it or isn't it a barn.
ReplyDeleteThese old buildings are really in quite sad state, especially the bottom one. It makes you wonder how it stays upright.

I especially like the old barn! I hate to see it falling down, but it's very cool!
ReplyDeletethat poor barn doesn't look like it's going to be around much longer :(

ReplyDeleteI love both of thee shots, Rose. I wish the barn shot were mine!
ReplyDeleteI reckon those green roof ties would be worth reclaiming!
