Unique, wouldn't you say?

Found this Sunday....
I have never seen any headstone/grave marker quite like this.  I think it is just so different.

  8. Looking around in an old cemetery is always a learning experience. But, I must say when I first looked at the photo I thought a snake was wound around the neck of the cross and snakes and I aren't on a first name basis. After looking further, the roses are beautiful and unique. :-)

    Was there a verse on it? What years did she live? I heard once that this stone used to be inexpensive, which is why so many of these older headstones are elaborate.

  12. the wreathe at the top looks like an anaconda is wrapping around it. not to my taste and it is different.

  17. Very unique and ornate. In the older section of our cemetery there are some pretty fancy grave stones. I should go photograph them someday.
