Looking around in an old cemetery is always a learning experience. But, I must say when I first looked at the photo I thought a snake was wound around the neck of the cross and snakes and I aren't on a first name basis. After looking further, the roses are beautiful and unique. :-)
Was there a verse on it? What years did she live? I heard once that this stone used to be inexpensive, which is why so many of these older headstones are elaborate.
i like the vinery on the tree cross. the roses/poppies are interesting, too.

Very unique and ornate. In the older section of our cemetery there are some pretty fancy grave stones. I should go photograph them someday.
