Happiness is seeing this and being thankful to have a washer and dryer. (But at the same time I am a little sad cause I love it when the weather is fair and I can hang my clothes outside.)
Super shot and it does bring back memories. I didn't have a dryer for a long time and didn't want one. I loved hanging out diapers and snapping them when dry to fold them and they smelled so good. I loved the rough way towels felt on my back after a bath---but at that long ago time my mother felt sorry for me in the winter and got me a dryer. Such a lady. MB
Great photo! It's been a long time since I've hung clothes on the line, I believe since I moved to Alaska some 40 some years ago, but then our window of opportunity is much shorter here.
I totally agree. Whenever I see an Amish homestead and their clothes on the line in winter I am so thankful for my washer and dryer, but like you I love to hand my clothes on the line.
nice to have good things about both scenarios. :)

The snow covered clothes pins make a fine high contrast shot. It makes a fine statement. Clothes dried outside always seemed to smell better.
ReplyDeleteThis is really a great image, Rose. Isn't it amazing how small, mundane objects can become works of art??!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo, Rose. Brings back memories of helping mama with the laundry.
