I love before the milkweed blooms...
and I love it after it blooms. Did you see the ants in the second shot?

From the hills and hollers of Tennessee
I am pretty sure I have posted a view similar to this one...but who cares or who can remember anyway?
This one has seen better days.
The barns seem to live a hard life...
as you can see, this one has health issues, too.
They were all taken in East Tennessee. We were on a drive and back where most roads were wide enough for only one car. We had no idea where we were most of the time. I think we finally just happened to come across a better road.
Thanks go to Tom for hosting The Barn Collective...if you have a barn to post, won't you please join us!

Go, Skeeter Eater, Go! (Version 2)
To see the first Go, Skeeter Eater, Go! go here. It explains where the title came from. (BTW, this photo was taken just a few days ago, but at the same area the photos were taken in the other post.)

Love this...
This little church is between Cayuga, Indiana and Georgetown, Illinois. We were on our way home with all these clouds looming everywhere. I was snapping photos right and left and straight ahead, but we did pull into the parking lot of this little church.
There is not a lot of difference in the shots, but thought I would show this second one anyway.

Hairy-legged spider
I started to clean the storm door windows, and noticed this guy/gal. I have no idea what type of spider it is, and have not attempted to identify it.
I have never seen one like it that I can remember. Please click to see a better view. Would you call them hairy legs or what?

Church doors
I totally love these doors....they are from a church in Marshall, Illinois. I did not catch the name.
I wish I had had better lighting...it was middle of the day shooting.
I am showing a couple extra....just because.
That's all!

Barns in Illinois
We ran across this bright yellow barn last weekend...
The only way to get a better view was to zoom in. There was no way to get a shot without trees blocking part of the view.
A little white barn that sat beside a bigger white barn.
The shade was so appealing on that hot, humid day.
I am linking with the Barn Collective if I am able...

These boots....
They were in The Cherry Tree--a little shop over in Paris, Illinois. I thought they deserved to have their picture taken.

Turtle show...
A week or two ago we were crawling through the strip pit area....up ahead there was this shallow mudpuddle. I thought I saw something in it--when we got up there this is what we found.
I took a few quick shots and left it to its business...
This road is not traveled very much at all so I did not worry too much about leaving it there.
I think this is a Red Eared Slider...

I am still experimenting some computer problems which began yesterday. I have not been on the computer continually today. But different times I could not do google searches, but could on Bing. When I did a google church, there was no button to click. However, gmail and Youtube are still working. Maybe all the kinks will eventually get worked out. I feel pretty sure it is not this computer because my chromebook acted the same way yesterday. So bare with me if I am slow to visit.

One fence show for Good Fences....
We have seen this fence several times before, but the decorations weren't there.
I just cannot narrow it down to a couple shots...
I just have to show some of the finer points...
Notice the necklace on the fence?
I am thinking it was actually for a Christmas tree...
Looking on down the fence
This does not do the scene justice at all...
Thanks to Theresa for hosting this meme every week.

Digging in...
His face was just buried in the flower...it was as if he had to dig in to get down far enough for the good part.
I ever so gently tried to hold the stem to hold the flower still enough to get these shots.

Barns
A drive-by shot of a barn...it has almost become a babit to post drive-by shots for the Barn collective.
I think Roger paused for this shot, but I shot through the window...
The is the same barn, but I was out of the Rav to take it...the house is on the left side, just out of the view. the place is for sale.
This is in the feld beside the previous barn. I don't know if they belong to the same farm or not.
The first barn is near Marshall, Illinois, and the next two are just on the edge of town.
Thanks to Tom for hosting The Barn Collective!

Or like this? Is #5 adorable?
