I am pretty sure I have posted a view similar to this one...but who cares or who can remember anyway?
This one has seen better days.
The barns seem to live a hard life...
as you can see, this one has health issues, too.
They were all taken in East Tennessee. We were on a drive and back where most roads were wide enough for only one car. We had no idea where we were most of the time. I think we finally just happened to come across a better road.
Thanks go to Tom for hosting The Barn Collective...if you have a barn to post, won't you please join us!
Great old barns - so sad to see them falling down, and the stories they have to tell must be wonderful.
ReplyDeletereally nice old places.
ReplyDeleteA few more storms like the one we had yesterday and a lot of places around here will start looking like those barns. :-)
ReplyDeleteSome beauties this week Rose. You are right, who cares or who can remember anyway? Surely not me! Just what I love, roads that are wide enough for only one car and I have no idea where I am most of the time. Sounds like fun. Thanks for linking up this week, I can't wait for next week. ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your barn pics, Rose.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of old barns. Have a happy new week!
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of seeing these old barns, the last two look like they could be repaired by adding new boards or putting back the ones that fell off. my favorite shot today is number 2.
ReplyDeleteThe sad state condition of many barns is a sad loss. I'm always glad to hear of places where the community has undertaken to preserve these barns for their historic value.
ReplyDeleteYeah, who can remember. Now what was I going to say...oh yeah, I really like the black & white image.
ReplyDeleteThey are all such wonderful specimens of old barns. Love old barns!
ReplyDeleteIt does seem sad that they are in disrepair but it adds a bit of "charm" dare I say to them as well.
ReplyDeleteI love hills and hollers, you find the most fascinating things. Love these Rose!
