Can I resist--no I cannot resist

We went to check out the Big Raccoon Creek...I wanted to see the field of sunflowers that was planted at the tailwaters...
I figured they would be all past the fresh bloomed stage, but I was wrong.  Now, a few were, and a few were closing down.
The goldfinches were happy campers....several were there but flew when I got out of the car.  I told Roger I would like to go back and just park and sit and watch for a while.

  2. Fine pictures. Your goldfinches are very different from ours which prefer thistle and teasel seed.
