On the back way from Mansfield to Bridgeton, there used to be a an old house that stood to the left of this little house/building. We used to always pause and wonder what its story was. A month or two ago, we passed and they were in the process of tearing it down. I figured everything was slated for demolition. Instead this has been given a reprieve...and has what looks like a brand new roof.
And this one is was left standing. I wonder what the plans are for these places...maybe they intend to make rentals cabins of them for the Covered Bridge Festival. Or maybe they will have some kind of shops in them. Whatever they do, I am glad something was left.
Oh, yeah! Looks like someone has a plan.

ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful buildings, good to see that they are still around.
ReplyDeleteNot sure that the new roof is quite in keeping with the original design, but at least something has survived. Keep us posted on further developments.

ReplyDeleteIt is good to know that something is up and these buildings are not left alone. Hope they are put to good use.
ReplyDeleteI think is good to see a place maintained instead of demolished. Fine images.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the owners know you are watching these cute buildings. ;))
ReplyDeleteWell, that definitely means they will be there awhile longer. I love it when something is restored instead of torn down.
ReplyDeleteThe new roof looks good. Glad to see good things coming for these buildings--a new lease on life, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteIt does make you wonder why they were spared. Neat looking buildings. Do keep us posted if you find out what they are being used for.
