This is not the greatest shot...it was a drive by, of course. And I am shooting across in front of Roger. Still, it is one of my better attempts for this barn. It is not far from home, but no place to pull off and get a good picture.
This one is not real sharp, but still you can see the front of it.
This was a drive-by, too, but better than the other I think. Only going about 50 and heading straight towards it...drive-bys are just better if you are shooting in front of you instead of to the side. It was a small barn, but I thought just so neat and tidy it deserved to be published.
We were on a country road, stopped and I was out of the Rav. Have more pics from this place that I am saving for Good Fences.
This one was on the edge of Russelville....it has seen better days....
Thanks to Tom for keep The Barn Collective alive....
Wow- these are all great Rose! I love the shapes, and of course- the red ones are my favorites. I hope you and Roger have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThere was a time in England when you could get permission to erect a new barn in environmentally sensitive areas if you promised to paint them green to blend into the landscape. They were wrong: they should have painted them red!
ReplyDeleteHello Rose, wonderful barn finds. I do love the red barns and seeing the cattle. Great photos. Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThe last one is my favorite - love the silo!
ReplyDeleteYou did a very good job of drive by shooting. Shooting in front of Roger worked out very well.
ReplyDeletePretty barns, Rose. I especially like the 1st shot.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rose for sharing such a wonderful collection of barns this week. The red one with the flaking paint has to be my favorite and that tall silo is outstanfding. I hope that you keep driving by barns and return soon.
ReplyDeletehandsome!
ReplyDeletethe red is always pretty, but i love the trees with the first.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection!
ReplyDeleteI would love to go upstairs in the big red barn.
:0)
I think Roger must be an incredibly patient driver. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love them all. In that first one, the trees really stand out with their bare branches. I always enjoy the barns and fences.
ReplyDeletePoor Roger and Buddy...they go thru so much trying to drive with the two of us in the car. At least you do not yell “BARN ALERT”! He is taking me out today to Michael’s to get me a box of watercolors for my art journal and to lunch...so he will be hearing “Barn Alert” a lot. My 77th is the 7th so he is trying to treat me this week. Your must live in a real farming community because ever time you all hit the road you come up with numerous photos of new and different barns You are really good. I am crummy compared to you and your eyes. That first one is a sweetie...just the right size. Like the two views. The red one is my size barn...one for old people who are not farmers. I really like it tho I would prefer it without the paint. Take care....
ReplyDeleteWow - great barns - love the drive bys when they are successful. I have several that are a big blur - but get some good ones too. That bright red barn is stunning - the last one is sad - but wonderful too.
