Birds

I love seeing the doves out at/under the feeders.  We always throw some feed on the ground for some of the birds that prefer the ground and also for the squirrels.
 Don't you just love the missus?  I have been posting a lot of the mister, but few of her.
 This one was taken before Christmas...

I hope you enjoyed them...we have so much fun sitting watching them.

    Love your pics. We always have plenty of seed falling to the ground to support the ground feeders. I used to keep a flat feeder for the Cardinals and Doves but the squirrels wouldn't stay out and drove our dogs nuts at the window.

    i miss our doves cooing to each other. we did not see them because we have no feeder, but they would sit on the power lines and talk. i love the cooing sounds. this is a really pretty dove and a lovely misses

    In the winter time here birds seem to prefer the ground to the feeder directly above the food on the ground.
    I enjoy watching them come and peck away.

    My doves are very skittish. They take off at the slightest disturbance. I'd never get a picture like that.

    Great shots of these lovelies. Usually the doves stay on the ground but we have one feeder that they are almost too big to perch on and still fly up eat the seed. They get all they can while the squirrels are napping :)
