I love to work puzzles, and think they at least make my brain work. But at the same time, I waste a lot of time when I have one out. I find it hard to focus on anything else.
When my husband and I worked different shifts, we always had a puzzle on a card table, each working on it when the other was gone. I love doing puzzles, but haven't done one in years. I think quiet time is never a waste of time. It's like putting your cell phone on the charger, isn't it? xx, Carol
I think it's great for your brain!! Lot's of things we do might be considered by some to be time wasters but that doesn't mean they aren't good for us to do too. ;)
Actually I love puzzles too. Once I started, I just can't do anything else. Its been many years since I did my last puzzle. Maybe I will get one since I am now retired..lol!
I love them, too! I got a new one for Christmas that I'm anxious to start once I get the tree and stuff out of the way. I don't like a lot of similar pieces like the background on this one, but they do make your brain work.
i love puzzles and almost pulled one out 'last weekend' but knew i'd not do anything else. at work, when it gets slow in the deep nights, we fix them on line on a site called jigsaw explorer. :)
Watch TV is a waste of time. Exercising your brain working on a puzzle or reading a book - a real hold-in-your-hands book is not a waste of time. It is time well spent.
That looks tough with all the white pieces! I enjoy working on puzzles, but my neck doesn't like it for long. My grandkids are putting them together like crazy this winter.
My husband's got one going all the time during the winter months. Occasionally I sit with him and find a few pieces but then I wander off to my quilting which is my way of relaxing.
My husband says the best luxury in life is wasting time. Therefore you aren't wasting time, merely indulging in a luxury!

ReplyDeleteI love love doing puzzles. I have been thinking of setting up my table soon to start one again.

I think puzzles are good for the brain, so not a time waster. I'd drag one out today, but there's a closet I need to clean.
