If a person can have a favorite bird, then this would be mine. Don't get me wrong, nothing thrills me more than seeing an eagle. And I love all the other little tweeties...
but the wren just steals my heart every time. Such a big pretty song comes from that little body. And they have such a sunny personality...who could not love them.
so plucky and so cute!
ReplyDeleteHi, The home we shared with my mom, there were lots of wrens. They were so much fun to watch and listen to. I call them "sing-y birds!"
ReplyDeleteHello Rose, they are one of my favorite birds too. They are so cute and perky! Loud too! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI am a Blue Bird Landlord and sometimes the wrens are not kind to my blues. Not like the Evil English Sparrows, but still not friendly. I like 'em, but not during the early spring.

The only wrens we have are Winter Wrens and as you say, such a pretty song comes such a little body.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a Carolina Wren? They never venture up here. I've never seen a wren up close, so lucky you to have one at your feeder and get a great photo.
So cute!
ReplyDeletethat is one precious little bird.. wishi could do that with my legs
ReplyDeleteI ike how you took the wren's picture so well. Excellent detail and colors. I wish I could also hear its song.
ReplyDeletehang in there
ReplyDeleteI can totally understand how the wren would be your favourite birds. We have little blue wrens here, baby ones actually that have just flown the nest, and I take such delight in seeing them each morning (but I can't get a good photo - they are too quick!)
ReplyDeleteThey've been especially busy around my house during the storm that's just passed.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and photogenic.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this one! I love those perky little wren tails!
