What a big, old beautiful home this must have been at one time.

We saw this house back at the end of January.

  1. Looks like a portion of the roof is ready to cave in. One heavy snowfall ought to take care of that.

  2. It looks like it's huge. And now it's looking pretty dangerous. But in the past... I hope it had a large family who loved it and enjoyed it for years.

  6. Awesome shots! Well it surely looks like it wouldn't take much huffing and puffing to blow it down! I am fascinated with old buildings and where we go to visit our son out in Eastern NC...the heart of hog farming country...there are so many decrepit old building of all kinds that I have been taking photos of. I always loved Roan's Rubbish meme for sharing things such as this.

  10. So sad, that it's abandoned. I often feel like a long time to dwell by old houses and to listen to their whispers. So many stories could they tell - - -

  11. At one time this was a beauty. Just think of the high ceilings and the light coming in thru those tall and narrow windows. I would love to get inside to take photos. This is a great find.
