From Goose Pond area near Linton, Indiana

We saw this little guy a few days ago...at the same area we saw the Pelicans.

There was one pond that had a lot of coots...

However, they were not very close, and were just scattered all over  the entire pond.

There were also a few geese around...

That is the extent of what we saw, except we saw a couple eagles but they were much too far away to get a photo.

  2. I hope to be visiting a wetland area tomorrow. I'm sure to see coots and Canada Geese but will count myself very lucky indeed to glimpse an eagle!

  9. Excellent shots. On the ranch is an area called the goose Ponds and it is always full of webbed footed creatures. It is a nice little walk to get there and it doesn't freeze over in the winter. I should take some pictures nwxt time I am over there. We haven't been over to visit Cheri since last October. Too busy I guess.

  14. You captured some lovely critters here Rose, I always love it when I see the coots, such dramatic face colouring, like those old coots are wearing a mask :)
