The other day at the Goose Pond Wildlife area, we also saw three whooping Cranes.
This shows two of them...I posted a pick over at my other
blog that shows all three.
None of these are the greatest shot, but still so glad to see the three of them. We have seen them there at least two other years. At least I am assuming it is the same ones, but who knows.
I would love to know what it is focused on...
That is it for the Whooping Crane picture show. I hope you enjoyed them...
the leg rings sure stand out.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a Whooping Crane. I was thrilled to see Sand Crains the other day, but they were too far away to get pics of. They are a rare site where I live.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful; thanks for sharing them with us. =)
ReplyDeleteSuch magnificent birds. They look wonderful with their white plumage. We sometimes see cranes hanging around ponds and lakes in our London parks, but they are a bit drab and grey by comparison with your beautiful birds. All the best, Bonny
ReplyDeletethey are beautiful and i don't think i have ever seen one. our resident egret stands in our ground cover focuse like this one and zap, he pulls up a frog or a lizard. i stand in the window and watch and he always gets his target

ReplyDeleteMajestic. We live in an amazing, fantastic world.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job on these closeups. They are super. They are so majestic. If I can check both blogs, maybe people will be able to check both of mine.
ReplyDeleteLove their little red crowns.
ReplyDeleteI find your pictures of the whooping crane very interesting. I don't get to see birds like this ever in this location.
ReplyDeleteYou were fortunate to photograph these. Thanks for sharing the pics and I hope your day is very nice!
ReplyDeleteThe whooping cranes are beautiful! Have a great week ahead!
ReplyDeleteNice socks.
ReplyDeleteHow cool! So glad you were able to get photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! When I was about 12, I wrote a report on whooping cranes for school. They were endangered; glad they are still around!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. Are these guys wearing some fancy socks or is that how their legs are colored?
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Rose!
Have a Happy Day!
Peace :)
