Whooping cranes...

The other day at the Goose Pond Wildlife area, we also saw three whooping Cranes.

This shows two of them...I posted a pick over at my other blog that shows all three.

None of these are the greatest shot, but still so glad to see the three of them.  We have seen them there at least two other years.  At least I am assuming it is the same ones, but who knows.

I would love to know what it is focused on...

That is it for the Whooping Crane picture show.  I hope you enjoyed them...

  1. I have never seen a Whooping Crane. I was thrilled to see Sand Crains the other day, but they were too far away to get pics of. They are a rare site where I live.

  3. Such magnificent birds. They look wonderful with their white plumage. We sometimes see cranes hanging around ponds and lakes in our London parks, but they are a bit drab and grey by comparison with your beautiful birds. All the best, Bonny

  4. they are beautiful and i don't think i have ever seen one. our resident egret stands in our ground cover focuse like this one and zap, he pulls up a frog or a lizard. i stand in the window and watch and he always gets his target

  13. Beautiful! When I was about 12, I wrote a report on whooping cranes for school. They were endangered; glad they are still around!
