From the dining room window...


This little bird was actually this red...


these photos don't do it justice.  Especially this middle shot.


I suppose it has something to do with it being spring and breeding season.

  2. Some lovely sharp images. Not a bird we get over here, but ours are also looking at their smartest in an attempt to attract the ladies - I remember going through that stage myself!

  9. I have them all the time around my feeders and still I cannot understand why they were named Purple Finches. I have yet to see a purple one.
