I hate to think of all the Prince Albert cans that were thrown away at home...that was what my dad smoked till he quit smoking. I think the price of these were two for $15.

Roger has not been feeling well since last Thursday. We know to expect 'off' days since the stroke, but this is getting a little old. I feel like there has been some improvement in the past couple of days though so maybe he will be back to his new normal soon. This has been sort of like how he felt back in February when I ended up taking him to the ER.
Now I defiantly think you should go to a nearby emergency clinic.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy looking at old tins and bottles when we are in antique stores.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs and prayers.
...Rose, I'm so sorry to hear about Roger. I hope that the off days pass soon. My dad also was a pipe smoker.
ReplyDeleteRose, I'm not sure who Roger is since I'm fairly new to your blog, but I'm sorry he's not feeling well. These Prince Albert cans are delightful. I bet they remind you of your dad. I love the old tin cans like these.

Hope Roger is ok.
ReplyDeleteMy dad also smoke the Prince Albert tobacco. I hope Roger feels better soon, I will keep him in my prayers. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeletesorry Roger is having a down moment and pray now he will come back up to the new normal today... and no trips to ER will be required.
ReplyDeletethe old joke kids played back in the old days, was the phone call asking if they had prince albert in the can and when the answer was yes, they would say The let him out, he can't breathe in there. I never did things like this but I heard others talk about it
Rose, I hope Roger is feeling better! Thinking about you both.

Cheri and I were just wondering how Roger was feeling. I hope it is just an 'off' day but one can never know. Better safe than sorry.
ReplyDeleteHoping the best for you both. Maybe he needs a qalk in the woods

Prince Albert is a classic product. I think I can smell now. My dad rolled his own when I was a child.
ReplyDeleteI pray that Roger is okay.
ReplyDeleteI have one of those Prince Albert cans.
Latas com muita história.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

I still have one of Terry's old Half and Half tins. I love tins and have a little collection of them. Some old bottles that still have lables. I even have a 1/2 used bottle of Cod Liver Oil. My aunt used to give it to my cousin when he did something wrong as a punishment. Terry's mom did that too.
ReplyDeleteTerry has those off days too. He also has had those LOW blood pressure days, about once every three months or so. Our doc suggested he wear a monitor for about a month to see if his heart is regular or not, but he did tell us if that low blood pressure episode happens again we should get him to the ER. Hope you get this figured out with Roger. These things are so scary.
xx, Carol
I hope Roger is better since this post! Strokes are so scary. I love the Prince Albert cans, my grandfather smoked that in a pipe....brought memories back
ReplyDeleteIt's good that smoking is only memory. Pretty photo. Hugs to you and Roger.
