I am only going to say that we saw this guy on the way to church Sunday. No one was behind me, so I quickly pulled over and snagged a few shots. I quit when I thought he was getting anxious. I will say this hawk is often on one of the fence posts in this area....I am assuming it is the same one. He was on a different one today, but I did not try to stop.
There you have it...isn't s/he a beauty?
Fabulous pictures Rose!
ReplyDeleteNew Year's Day I was out and saw a red tail on a cross arm of the utility pole. He flew off so fast, I barely had my camera ready. I'll stick to barns!
ReplyDeleteThe hawk is a real beauty! Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteHello, gorgeous shots of the red-tailed hawk. It is a beauty! Happy New year!
ReplyDeleteso gorgeous, rose.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures!
ReplyDeleteSince Hawk is territorial it probably IS the same one. I have a Sharp Shinned living in a stand of pines across the road. I never tire of his visit and he comes often to my feeders. I never see him catch a bird. We watched him at the pond a few weeks ago. He spied something and waited for a long time to catch it then flew off. Shortly after he left a small rabbit came out of it's hiding place. I'm so glad it stayed hidden. I'm sure I would not have wanted to witness the Hawk's success.
