I spy in the sky...

As we were heading out of town, I spied this guy/gal in the sky.  I quick found an empty lot to park on, and stopped the car, got out and propped my hands on the open door to try to zoom in and snag a couple shots.
The first shot is cropped,  the second uncropped.  Any day we see a Bald Eagle is a good day!

I am going to try linking to I'd Rather B Birding with this...hopefully I will get to visit a few of the blogs.  Sometimes time slips away and it takes me days to get visiting done.

  1. Thanks for your visit! Envious of your eagle shot. Live in the mountains at 3000 feet, but still too low to get a recognizable shot! I have seen thme in Northen Yosemite Nat. park at 9000 feet, but never had a camera with me (only paint and brushes, lol)

  7. I know it is not the same Eagle but I had to stop in the middle of the road yesterday and take a few pics of a soaring Eagle too.

  8. This is true! I have only seen one eagle in person and he was perched on a tiny tree alongside the interstate. No way to pull off and take a picture. I'm always looking though. Lucky you!

  10. I have only seen a Bald Eagle a couple of times, and not nearly long enough to get a picture. Last summer what we think was a young one circled over my house a couple of times, but I could not leave to get my phone for a pic. I am lucky to have Cooper and Red Tailed Hawks near me, so it's ALMOST as good when I spot one of THEM!
